EJ Bringer has been selected as the next Principal of Wellford Academy of Science and Technology. He will take over for Mrs. Showalter who is moving into a new role at the District Office.
Mr. Bringer is no stranger to Wellford Academy, as he's served as the school's Assistant Principal for the last six years. He came to District Five in 2017, after serving as the Assistant Principal at Pine Tree Hill Elementary School in Camden, S.C. for three years. The longtime educator got his start in the classroom as a 3rd grade teacher at Washington Street Elementary School in Hartsville, S.C., where he served as a Mentor teacher, and was recognized as "Teacher of the Year."
Bringer earned his Bachelors in Elementary Education from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, a Masters in Elementary Education from Francis Marion, and a Masters in Educational Administration from the University of the Cumberlands.
"It is such an honor to be named Principal of Wellford Academy," says Bringer. "Our school is truly a special place, and I'm honored to be part of the many exciting opportunities ahead, including moving into our new building in 2024. I want our school to continue to blossom and be a school that our community can be proud of for years to come."
